Dr. Awaz Yaseen grew up in Dalton, Georgia where she attended Dalton State College to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018. She began her career in dentistry in her hometown as an orthodontic assistant and soon attended The Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2024.
During her dental education, she worked diligently to bridge the gap between poverty and oral healthcare, as she used her role as president of the Give a Smile program to organize fundraising events to fund and identify the dental college’s patients who were most in need of financial assistance. She hopes to continue her heart for service throughout her career. At The Dental College of Georgia, she was awarded the 2024 Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award and the 2024 Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics Excellence in Prosthodontics Award. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Yaseen has a deep-seated commitment to the dental profession and prioritizes patient-centered care. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and understood. Her approach to dentistry emphasizes the importance of clear communication, individualized treatment plans, and a gentle touch, ensuring that each patient receives personalized and effective care. She is eager to seek continual knowledge in the latest advancements in dentistry to ensure the highest standards of care for her patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Yaseen enjoys all things outdoors, athletics, and arts. She spends her free time hiking, camping, cooking, strength-training, playing basketball, running, painting, reading, and sight-seeing. She is honored to have the opportunity to serve the Columbus community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients while providing exceptional dental care at Gentle Dentistry of Columbus.
